Now on day 11 of period. Have regular periods but never had one lasting this long. Bleeding not heavy but not light either. Am 49, is this the start of perimenopause/menopause? Are lengthy periods a symptom? Or a red flag for cancer? Have been ill with coldy virus but no other things of note. Last smear test of January this year was fine. Do I need to see GP?
