Labia hypertrophy

Long time lurker but first time ever posting my own thread.
i had my first child 12 years ago and suffered a labial tear which midwife at the time said they wouldn’t stitch as they felt it’d heal on its own.
after initial healing of approx 8 weeks my one Labia minora has always seemed to hang down a lot more than it ever did. After looking, which I cried at as it looked so much different than before and hung down so much more, apart from on a shallow level it has never bothered me.
2 children later, my last being 4 years ago I am now having terrible trouble with it, feels like it’s constantly rubbing on any underwear I have on whether it tight fitting it loose. I struggle at the gym as it’s chaffing. When I urinate it doesn’t come out in a stream it sprays so goes everywhere. Sex life is non-existent as it gets in the way.. This has been going on for 6 months or so.. any help or support please?
I feel it’s all I think about, the irritation, I feel dirty all the time.. I plan on finally phoning the GP tomorrow but I’m so embarrassed by it and just want to know I’m not alone?
thanks in advance

Oh you poor thing.

No experience but I'm sure GPs will hear/see these kind of issues a lot.

Have a bump. Good luck.

Thank you @JeandeServiette i appreciate the bump as when I searched for similar threads it seems it isn’t talked about much ❤️

How did it go?

I second seeing your GP. This is having an impact both physically and emotionally on you. It sounds like something that can be sorted out quite easily with a bit of surgery but will have such an impact on your life. Good luck OP.
