Please someone help, I'm at my wits end with vaginal thrush that will not leave, I'm so frustrated and annoyed now!!! I've had it since becoming pregnant I'm now almost 8 months pregnant, I also have gestational diabetes so that's also probably a factor of the thrush. I can't use the tablet bc pregnancy, I've tried the creams and they don't work & the doctor or pharmacist won't prescribe the pessary bc it can 'induce labour' wtf am I supposed to do, I can't stick it any longer. I can't have sex because of the unbearable pain It causes me (bc of the thrush) I learnt my lesson the first time I done it, I cried for hours. Im so unbelievably itchy down there and sore. Someone please give me advice, I want to scream. Thanks

Live natural yoghurt, dip a tampon in it and insert it.

Take a probiotic daily.

Treat husband as well in case he's giving it back to you.

Don't use fabric softener and wear cotton knickers.

I take it you don't use soap or shower gel down there?

I feel your pain OP. In the same boat.

Keep controlling your sugar as much as possible through diet. Consider how many carbs you eat too, not just typical sugar. Although I’m sure you’re doing this with GD.
Agree with treating your partner.
Less material the better. If you can go knickerless under a nightie or something at home, do it. Otherwise, breathable cotton.
Avoid pads.
Avoid tracksuit bottoms and control pants - anything bright down there.
Don’t rewear trousers. Wash them after each day of wear.
Wash your knickers on the highest temperature. I also do this with gym trousers, towels etc.
Don’t use shower gel and fragranced things down there.
The clotrimazole (sp?) cream is very soothing, when you don’t have the pessary too.

But mine just keeps on returning, without GD. Although these things help delay it slightly and soothe at least.

Good luck!

Google antifungal foods and eat lots of them.

Lots of spices, turmeric, onions, ginger and garlic.

A few hot curries might do the trick.
