UTI and hospital appt

I've been waiting in what feels like FOREVER for a gynae appointment for stress incontinence

The day is finally here and I've woken with a UTI

I'm so mad. And I'm so much pain!!

I can't possibly go to my hospital appointment and be examined when I feel like this. Am I going to get an absolute bollocking for cancelling?? Will I lose my referral appointment forever?!

Personally I would go anyway. Take those Cystitis powder drink things, drink loads of water and take ibuprofen. If you're in too much pain to be examined you can tell them that but I suspect it would be worth going anyway just to talk to the doctor and get into the (very slow) system. If they want to examine you they can make you another appointment which is likely to be earlier than if you cancel last minute.

I've done a boots online doctor request to purchase antibiotics. I think I'll call ahead of the appointment and see what they recommend. Worst. Timing. Ever.

I'm amazed! They have been very accommodating and changing my appointment to next week!
