Ovarian cyst removal

I have a cyst on my ovary, gynae want to remove it plus both ovaries. I can watch and wait, having tests every 6 or so months, but she recommended removal.
womb lining is within recommended guidelines.
I suffer with lack of oestrogen…. vaginal atrophy and skin issues. I understand even though I’m through menopause that removal of ovaries will cause surgical menopause and my symptoms will get worse. HRT made me bleed continually and flood, which is how the cyst was found.
the gynaecologist didn’t know if I would need oestrogen replacement, and didn’t know whether I would be able to try HRT again. She suggested I ask my GP, which is incredibly difficult to get even a call back from them.
I managed to track her secretary down and emailed with my concerns about hormones afterwards, she wouldn’t reply but did make me another appt to see her, but this keeps getting cancelled and rebooked so doubtful when I will get there.
can anyone guide me?
if I have my ovaries removed, keeping my womb, do I need HRT? As I bled continually when I started HRT, do I just try different ones until I find the correct one for me?

This is exactly what happened to me, I did not have a period for nearly a year , had bad night sweats, insomnia and anxiety so decided to try HRT with in a month I started to bleed. I went to the doctor had certain tests and after a vaginal scan I was told I had a cysts on both ovaries so I decided as I was 51 to have both taken out, I was advised I would have to go on HRT which I did and I have been fine for the last 6 years.
