I constantly feel awful. I started patches 2 months ago hoping they would make a difference but they haven't. I am overweight but not terribly. I feel low all of the time but the worst symptom is constant migraines. I work in a high pressure environment which I'm sure doesn't help. I need to eat better and exercise more but the constant headaches and lack of energy don't help. Any suggestions on anything else I can do?

I’d suggest you pop this on the menopause board too, might get more replies.
Did you always have migraines, or is it since starting HRT ?

For lack of energy I’d take a vit B complex, and add in a D3&K2 as well.
And try some magnesium glycinate for a better quality sleep.

Therapeutic massage can help with the headaches.

Moredarkchocolateplease · 28/05/2023 08:13

@snowfal my symptoms improved massively when I increased my patch to 75 and now 100.

Also when I realised that the progesterone was making me depressed to the point of suicidal thoughts. I now use utrogestan vaginally. It still gives me awful PMT but I don't think about suicide any more!

It's stopped my night sweats, I don't need to wee all the time in the night anymore and I sleep from going to bed until my alarm goes off.

Maybe have a look at your oestrogen and see if you can increase it.

@DustyLee123 thank you. I have always had the migraines but they are getting worse.

Is it a 50mcg patch you are on? Sometimes it takes a bit of tweaking to find the right dose for you.

snowfal · 28/05/2023 21:15

@Moredarkchocolateplease thank you. I might try that if things don't turn a corner soon.
