Breast fullness

Hi there
I wondered if anyone had any experience of the following:
I’ve been having pain in my left breast for about 6 weeks and it’s been noticeably fuller and the tissue inside thicker than the other one. I’ve been putting it off a bit but I booked an appointment to see the GP on Tuesday as it’s been getting more painful. I just felt it and it’s now dramatically thicker and the whole breast is very hard. Got myself in a panic about it now.
Has anyone else had a similar experience and can shed any light on what it could be whilst I wait for the appointment?
