Lump in Breast and Raised Lymph Nodes - Absolutely Terrified and Pregnant

Hello all,

I’m just looking for a bit of advice / reassurance where possible.

I’m in the 2WW system currently for what the doctor described as a smooth, painless, mobile (it feels mobile but tethered to me) lump in my left breast. She also felt raised lymph nodes under my arms which I had no idea were there (but said this could be due to previous infection or simply because I’m a bit bony - I’m really not, ha).

She said the breast lump is right along the lymph node line, so could be that. I don’t know if that’s better or worse, but I’m convinced it is worst case scenario.

Does anyone have any similar experiences? Has anyone had a raised chest/breast lymph node that felt like a lump? Or raised underarm nodes that were harmless?

I am terrified and as it says above, I’m in the early weeks of pregnancy, so could not be more worried right now.

Thanks for reading. X

Hi, sorry to hear youre feeling terrified. didnt want to read and run. a while ago, i noticed a distinct lump in my LHS armpit, something I hadn't noticed before. i had recently had an infection so assumed it was that. ignored it and it did go away- thought nothing more of it.... then it returned, so i made a gp app. by the time my app came, the lump had gone down again, gp couldnt feel anything but said dont worry. typically it came back again!.... at this point i questioned if it was hormonal so kept an eye... yep it always reappears when i'm due! whereas once upon a time my boobs would be tender/ sore, now if i feel a lump in my LHS armpit I know to stock up on pads!! suppose what I'm trying to say, try and keep positive, if youre pregnant i suspect and hope it's those wonderful hormones!! congratulations x

Thank you for this - really appreciate it. It’s easy to jump to the worst conclusions, and our bodies are strange things sometimes! X

@JustNeedSomeCalm what happened here? Xx going through the same thing :(

I’m so sorry you’re going through this and really wish you all the best. I know how utterly upsetting this is

Luckily, it turned out to be a reactive raised lymph node which eventually has gone down, but I can still feel it a little. I think I still have raised nodes under my arms too. Xxx
