Change in periods since turning 30

I turned 30 last year and i have experienced a sudden change of cycle.
My periods used to be very textbook. slight cramping with a medium blood flow that lasted 5 or so days. Now a few days before my period starts i experience pain so bad it makes me vomit. I'm bleeding so heavy that im flooding with period pants and a tampon thats lasting anything from one week to 4 weeks.

I have had a gp appointment ( over the phone) that resulted in him giving me medication that could literally kill me ( he didn't read my notes or history) No other medication or advice was offered.

I have 3 kids already and very much done but out of curiosity i have tested for ovulation the past few months which hasn't picked it up.

Any advice would be very welcome 😊

You need a scan, go back to your GP and ask for one. It could be fibroids .

My gp are utterly useless so much so we are looking for a new practice. I plan on making an appointment when we get a new gp

You would be referred for a scan urgently, as although something like fibroids is the most likely reason, they have to rule out anything more worrying . Even if your Gp is useless, just ask for a scan referral , it should be pretty quick. I think for me it would have been a month or so wait, but I had it done privately. ( I am older than you and my bleeding was due to peri menopause ).
