What's going on?

I came off the pill over a year ago and I thought my periods were going back into a routine. My period lasted for about 3-4 days and everything was normal.

Last month I thought I might be pregnant but my test came back negative - I did 2. My period started a little late but only lasted 2 days which is out of the ordinary - 3rd day was light brown discharge. Since then I've had constant bloating (makes me feel massive) , acne around my cheeks and chin (which normally goes after my period) and slight cramping. It's almost like my PMS has just carried on.

Has anyone had this before?

I would make an appointment at a doctors to get this checked out as hormone changes and bloating could be a symptom of something else going on. Could you be perimenopausal?

@Pr1mr0se I'm only 32 and trying for a baby so I hope I'm not. I'm not getting hot flushes, night sweats or mood swings.

Not that then! It could be the pill still affecting timings however look into this too as this can affect your periods: https://www.nhs.uk/conditions/polycystic-ovary-syndrome-pcos/ It's very common and nothing to worry about.

Suggest doing another pregnancy test. Keep a diary of symptoms that you can show to GP if needed.
