Tablet to prevent period

I'm going on holiday in June and I'm likely to have my period. This will be a pain as we'll be out and about a lot etc.
Do I need to get a doctors appointment to ask for the medication which prevents a period, or could I phone the surgery and ask whether I can have a prescription? It's such a hassle getting an appointment.
I've just seen an online form via Superdrug (paid service), maybe that's easier?
Any experience welcomed, thank you.

I'd just phone and request rather than appointment tbh although be warned if didn't help

If you can afford it, go with Superdrug. You get advice along with your prescription and saves you the stress of trying to get a GP appointment.
