Norethisterone to delay period

Has anyone taken this? Does it work? Any tips or advice would be welcome.

I'm due my period whilst on a remote trip and would rather not have to deal with sanitary wear whilst away. I'm sure the company providing the trip are used to dealing with this, but I'd really rather not.

I've done it several times and it has worked really well for me. I always just took the pills during the holiday and it was really straightforward - did exactly what it said on the tin.

For some people, their period can come on very quickly if they forget to take a dose. So if you think taking pills regularly might be tricky on your trip, and if your periods are generally quite regular, you might prefer to try to bump your cycle ahead by a couple of weeks by delaying a period before your trip. If you have several months before the trip you could experiment in this way in any case to see how it works for you.

I've found it great in the past, including when I was only 11/12 years old. I always say that on these threads (if you search you might find them). Just make sure you start taking the tablets at least three days before you're due, ideally a couple more? It's three tablets a day, iirc

Yes, once or twice a year to avoid festivals usually. Like @Righthandman said, I usually take the pills a month or 2 before and move my cycle enough so the period is avoided with needing to remember the tablets on the actual trip. No noticeable side effects and I’ll be supporting my DD to do similar when she needs to.

They work very well. They might mess with the next couple you have as your body readjusts (heavier, longer) so just be prepared for that.

Thanks all. The trip is in 7 weeks so I might have left it a bit late to adjust my cycle before I go. I had figured there might be an impact on my period and cycle after taking it so yes, I am prepared for that!

In that case I would just plan to take the pills during the trip. I hope it works well for you and you have a wonderful time away
