Morning ladies, I am looking for some help and advice on natural vitamins I can take to help improve PMT symptoms?
Bit of back ground:
I have the BRCA gene which is hormone receptive so cannot take and hormone based birth control.
Since having my daughter 2 years ago, my periods are much heavier and PMT symptoms worse and go on for weeks, feel I am only ever clear of some form of symptom for a weeks each month.
I suffer with moodiness, tiredness, fatigue, then cannot sleep for 2-3 nights, then could sleep for days, back aches, hunger that no amount of food will satisfy, sweet cravings, bloating, constipation, water retention, cramps during ovulation, cramps during period and so on, you get the picture.......
I regularly workout doing cardio and weight training 3-4 times a week, generally quite active with a toddler and dog.

I am looking for some natural vitamins or remedies which I can take to reduce feeling so crampy 90% of the time. When I google this question I get thrown a load of "insta" worthy potions which seem very expensive.
I currently supplement with a combined tablet of calcium, magnesium and zinc but only a few tablets left so looking to switch up to something that may be more beneficial.
TIA

Try a tablet with methylated b vitamins. The brand Naturelo is good

I found 'magnesium ok' from Boots helpful. I am menopausal now and still take it. It's a blend of minerals and vitamins aimed at regulating hormonal activity.

No other supplement had any effect whatsoever. And believe me I've tried 'em all.

Sympathies!

@Orchidflower1 appreciated x

@Words I take magnesium now and do find it helps with sleep and restless legs when I've exercised a lot that day. I'll keep searching....

@Skydome not heard of Methylated b vitamins, thank you I'll take a look into these further

Hi again OP - Just checking you're taking that particular supplement- magnesium ok - it has other good stuff in there as well as magnesium.

Crazyone84 · 10/05/2023 13:04

@Words oh so its an actually brand of tablet rather than just magnesium, understand. Let me look further into it, thank you
