hi
not had a period for more years than I can remember and went through sweats, moods etc
but the thing is the times where I go from being fine to being really angry over nothing and feeling suffocated and want to run away to the middle of no where

thinking of going to GP and chat re HRT

am on anti depressants and have been for a while but this is not anxiety or depression

How old are you? I am in my mid 50s and been on hrt for about 18 months. It has helped with rages, sleep and anxiety. My brain fog still disturbs me... I am on Femoston 1/10 tablets.
I was still having periods when I started hrt but wonder if would have stopped by now. I seemed to hit a peak of stress and enough was enough... Should have gone to the doctors sooner.

HRT stopped The Rage for me within a week.

Thanks for the answers,

I am 58 , no Dc, never been pregnant
just me and DP who I love very much

but sometimes he can be pouring the cup of tea and hes doing it to loud

or yesterday , he came back from golf too early due to rain , a nothing event but made me angry that he was back

or the laptop isnt fast enough, its a good laptop , but it makes me want to go from sitting viewing pages to then want to start shouting at it

never violent rages but want to shout and shout over nothing , completely nothing

just dont know if HRT is the answer and would they give me it

I work, good job , get rages their too

have down time, go to gym and pool so can get away from it all, bought really good sony headphones which are noise cancelling ,they are amazing, I could do with wearing them all the time and blindfolds , that would help

HRT has helped me massively with reducing the irritability and intolerance I felt, along with the absolute rage. Also OP, there are many benefits to taking oestrogen, such as reducing likelihood of dementia, osteoporosis and cognitive decline. Look up Dr Louise Newson, and you will find a wealth of further information on her website and podcasts. Go for it, I say.
