Clots and cramping

i wish there was some way of finding out if something is normal, every other period I have is often particularly heavy. Today I was standing in the queue in a cafe and I started cramping really badly, I started feeling faint and I was in pain, I said to my DH I’ve got to go to the toilet as I I could also feel blood, I went to the toilet and ‘birthed’ a clot, I felt super dizzy sitting on the toilet and had to sit there for a good 5 mins before I felt i could stand up.

once it had passed I’ve got on with my day. But every so often I pass these clots and it’s horrible and I feel so poorly while it’s happening.

does this happen to anyone else? I’m 40 if that’s helpful almost 41. And two kids .

I was like that. The older I got the worse it got. There were days from my mid 30’s that I couldn’t leave the house the bleeding was so heavy, the clots massive and the pain was so bad it would make me vomit and be unable to stand up straight. I stupidly put up with it for years because DM said ‘oh, you’re just like me. One that suffers’ so I stupidly just thought that some women just do.

It would be worth speaking to the GP, there are medications they can prescribe and they may want to refer for a scan to check for fibroids or something as this is relatively new for you. Don’t suffer on!

Thanks @Plethoraofwoo i’d say it’s been on and off like this since 2020 but sometimes worse. Thanks I’ll speak to the GP. I said to my DH I feel mini mini cramping/contractions and I can feel the flow and then the clot as it’s getting ready to pass. It’s so disorientating, I feel so dizzy and faint and often in a lot of pain.
