When do you start losing energy?

I am 36, have 2 kids. A full time job and I feel full of energy.

When does this start to wane?

Why would it wane? I’m not sure anyone can answer that. I’m 53, work nearly f/t and have two kids. Energy not an issue 🤷‍♀️.

I was fine, full of energy until I was about 48, and a full time working single mum.

Then I slowed down, realised it and took up running. When I got my fitness up, the energy came back.

I'm late 50s now and as long as I run a couple of times a week, I seem to be able to maintain it.

Mid 50s for me, I am worn out, hollowed out, a husk, really, from being the carer for a parent with dementia and the teenage years were therefore harder for the children than they should have been. I want to sleep for a very long time. #glum

I'm 50, have to regularly have an afternoon sleep atm but putting it down to peri-menopause, hoping it won't last long. Had 2 hrs sleep today and could easily have slept longer but had to get up to make tea! Thankfully have teens who don't need constant supervision!

Peri menopause for me. Horrendous heavy periods where having to change superplus plus tampons and maternity sized pad every 15-20 minutes and I became anemic. I seemed to lose my energy and was tired a lot of the time. Even after menopause it never really comes back completely. I take vitamin B12 and vitamin D to try to help.

Aren't you lucky to be full of energy!

I'm shattered. 51, teens, job, house etc etc. I need more sleep than I get. Post menopausal.

About 1.30pm.

No harm to you but it depends what you have on your plate

HarleyLane · 30/04/2023 20:50

I was fully fit until Long COVID. Struggle past 2pm most days.
