How much ibuprofen and paracetamol?

How much ibuprofen and paracetamol can be taken together safely in one dosage?

I have taken 1000mg Paracetamol however I’m still in pain. I’ve then taken 200mg ibuprofen and still in pain. Can I take another 200mg ibuprofen pill or would it be over the limit?
Can’t seem to find the answer online.

thanks

I take 2 x 500mg paracetamol, alongside 2 x 200mg ibuprofen

1G (2 tablets) of Paracetamol every 4-6 hours with a maximum of 4g (8tabs) in any 24 hour period.
Plus 200-400mg Ibuprofen (they can come in 200 or 400mg tablets so be careful to check which dosage tablets you have) every 6-8 hours with a maximum of three times in any 24hour period.
So provided you are certain that the Ibuprofen you have taken was 200mg, then you can take another one 200mg tablet.

You can take them both at the same time (my GP told me this explicitly when I'd sprained my ankle!) just follow the guide on the packets.

You absolutely can taken them together as others have confirmed,

I find it better to stagger them. So paracetamol first then Ibuprofen a couple of hour later then repeat. That way you always have some painkiller in your system rather that both wearing off at similar times and the pain ramping up before you re-dose.
