Delaying period

I have an appointment for a colposcopy which I've had to rearrange once already due to being on my period. I've just checked and I'm due on the day before the appointment. I really don't want to cancel again. Is there a way to safely delay it? I'm not on the pill.

Yes, get some norethisterone from the Doctors. It delays your period. I've taken it before and worked well.

Ask your GP for norethisterone or I think you can get it in superdrug etc (does it matter - can you not just wear a tampon)? Hope it goes ok

It says in the letter that they can't do the procedure if you are bleeding. I guess they wouldn't be able to get a good look at the cervix and it would be pretty grim for me and them.

Thank you! I'll call them Monday.
