Postpartum bleeding

Hi I was hoping for a bit of reassurance and before I (attempt) call my GP.

I had an elective section 3 months ago, I initially recovered well and lost 850ml during surgery but a week later I was readmitted with sepsis. Turns out I’d got an infected blood clot between my bladder and uterus.

I’ve not yet stopped bleeding. I feel fine, it isn’t constant, but every few days there will be a few fresh drops or pinkish brown discharge. I haven’t had sex yet and I’m EBF so I don’t think it’s my period and it has never gone away.

has anyone had similar or know what this could be? I don’t want to waste my GPS time but im also getting a little worried/annoyed with it!

I would very much suspect this is hormonal - esp as you're breastfeeding. However, i would be inclined to ring the Gp to get their option and some reassurance. Congrats on your baby!

My baby is 11 months old and I bled a little last month but this month I'm a week late. She has solids 3 times a day and has breastmilk. Right now I've got light cramping, feeling exhausted (fasting atm so that is most likely the reason for the exhaustion), feeling a little nauseous and my belly feels hard. DH uses condom and pulls out straight away. Anyone else had this? Am I perimenopausal, pregnant, or is it just my body getting back into the groove? Worrying over nothing or should I test for pregnancy to rule it out?

I’m 6 weeks postpartum.

I had an emergency c section and was given 6 weeks worth blood thinning injections.

After about 4 weeks my bleeding had reduced to a point where I had nothing coming out. I’m now 6 weeks and all of a sudden I’ve got severe bleeding.

anyone else experienced this ?
