Hello!

I’m going away on holiday next Wednesday and I’m thinking about taking Norethisterone and I wondered if anyone could tell me their experiences with it!

Just a bit of info: I’ve had irregular periods for the last year but I am ‘expecting’ my period to come tomorrow (Saturday). If it doesn’t I will take the medication tomorrow.

I’m worried that it will make me really bloated/ worried about taking it when I don’t know my periods exact due date. The pharmacist told me it’s fine but I wanted to get other peoples opinions. Usually I wouldn’t care about being bloated however I am going on a date when I’m away and would rather not be bloated.. or on my period!

anyone’s experiences or advice would be greatly appreciated! :)

How did you get on with it

Hello. I took norethisterone on the day my period started hoping it would work. My period carried on instead of 4 days, it went on for 7 days. I am now 3 days late for my period and testing negative. I am wondering if anyone has experienced this? I also wonder if this means my cycle has changed too instead of me being pregnant?

Once you've taken norethisterone and had the period after stopping I found that my cycle was then counted from that later period.
