Odd period

I'm usually pretty regular, have a copper coil so no hormonal contraception and smears up to date. Recent swabs too as I had a few UTI treatments

The past week I've had brown blood in tiny amounts only when wiping, and it doesn't seem to be stopping and my period is now 6 days late
Any ideas? I would call it spotting but it's not even really that and it's consistently dark brown

Have you done a pregnancy test just to rule it out? Otherwise may be stress related or just period coming on slowly and late. Or have you had any medication or vaccinations in the past month?

Usual meds, no vaccines

@Rebel2 that’s the only thing I can think of. Though sometimes are bodies do strange thing with no explanation!

Definitely negative

No spotting or anything but my period is currently 4 days late and counting, and I'm usually like clockwork. Definitely not pregnant.

I suspect I had covid a couple of weeks ago, and the only other thing which has pulled my cycle out of whack in adulthood was the covid vaccine (twice). I'm drawn to this as an explanation, although of course I've only speculatively self-dx as I never tested, and I have no theory at all as to why this one virus would do this when no other comparable illness in the past 20 years has done the same!

Still no period, still spotting. 7 days late now
