Hello,

Im booked to have the above procedure on Monday. I thought I had a prolapse but was later diagnosed with circumferential haemorrhoids.

I googled the procedure the other day and everything I read was negative - and recovery sounds horrific!

Can anyone who has had the procedure give me an idea about what recovery may look like and if it was painful?

At my last appointment where they offered me surgery, dr said I’d need 7-10 days off of work, however from looking online, some people were off 12 weeks! I’m a Nurse in a physical job.

Im due to have surgery on Monday and then we’re away (in the U.K.) for Easter weekend. I’m not sure if that’s a little soon… but I’m about to start a new job and if I postpone the surgery it will interfere with that..

many thanks in advance x

I’ve had one, I have to be honest and say it took me a lot longer than 10 days to get better. I also wouldn’t have been able to go on holiday 4 days later.
