I had a hysteroscopy and mirena coil fitted about two weeks ago, for heavy periods and to be the progesterone part of HRT. I know it's early days, but after spotting at first, I know seem to be having a typical period full of floods. I'm a bit worried the coil might just wash out, which I know can happen, but I've read others say the mirena helped lighten their periods from the get-go.
Has anybody been in a similar situation and things settled down? At the moment I just feel like asking the doc how long I have to wait before I can have a hysterectomy, I am so sick of this.
