Premature menopause

Hi, has anyone on here gone through an early menopause like between the ages of 20-40?
If so how did you know? What were the symptoms and what's happened since?

I am waiting for a doctors appointment but I've had no or light periods and I know I'm not pregnant.

Yes, I did. I'm 41 now and started HRT late last year.

I came off the depo injection at 36 and at 37ish my periods started going haywire, just getting longer and longer between them and lighter each time. At the start we thought there was a fertility issue that could be fixed (4 MC), and we were referred to the fertility centre for our county but the Dr there never said anything about declining FSH or anything, never gave a reason, then lockdown hit and it all got cancelled.

Finally had bloods done late last year and an ultrasound that showed my ovaries are starting to atrophy and they recommended HRT for bones/heart etc.

I didn't have any menopause symptoms though, until towards the end, I started getting drier and my libido dropped off a cliff. Its still not back so I'll speak to the Dr about testosterone next. I didn't have any flushes or sweats or anything. I did start to get brain fog and started making silly mistakes at work and was unable to retain info but thats all cleared up now.

Before starting the HRT I hadn't had a period for 10 months, but to be honest the last few were just bleeds from trying progesterone/clomid.
