Why am I 'tangy'?

So it has come to my attention that in recent months, my fanny has started to taste a bit tangy/sour. ConfusedBlush

Everything seems to be working just fine, and the only thing that has changed is that I have started using contraceptive patches - is it possible that these could be responsible or does anyone know of anything else that it could be?

I know you will all say to speak to my GP but obviously hiding in shame on the internet is a much less embarrassing place to start 😬

fun fact - all acids taste sour e.g. vinegar, lemon juice etc

vaginas are acidic environments, they all taste kind of sour and musky but in a good way

It probably means you have a healthy foof!😀

AnneWhittle · 16/03/2023 20:29

exactly- you are supposed to be tangy!

Ooooh - ok Blushwell you learn something new every day Grin

Perhaps it's just happy about getting a bit more of a workout than it has been for a while ShockWink

Sorry this made me laugh. But yes it sounds like you have a healthy 'foof' 😂

I do love the word Foof! 😂

The contraceptive patches are probably the cause - how we smell/taste is largely dependent on hormone levels and where we are in our menstrual cycles. And, as other posters have said, vaginas are acidic environments. All in all, it's all good and nothing to worry about.

How do you know? Who told you?

BertaHoon · 16/03/2023 23:58

What is it when you bleach all your nlack knickers though?! Sorry hijacking tangy fanny!

BertaHoon · 16/03/2023 23:58

Nlack? Black!

@BertaHoon that's also caused by acidity (the acidic discharge reacting with the fabric dye).

I tend to find that washing dark knickers before first use eliminates this issue for me... I wonder whether it's because the dye is less fresh and therefore less reactive (only a theory)!

Ohhh... Well I've never tried washing them beforehand, but I always end up with a peach gusset in a black knicker!

I don't bleach my black knickers so I can't be that bad then 😁
