Ruptured ovarian cyst?

Hi all, just wondering if anyone has any similar experiences.

On Saturday I was driving home and suddenly this overwhelming pain starting all across my lower abdomen. The pain came in waves and it honestly felt like labour contractions. I had to pull over twice as I couldn't drive and the pain was taking my breath away. I couldn't keep my feet on the pedals as all I wanted to do was curl into the fetal position.

After about 40 mins the pain subsided but my tummy was still very sore and tender. We are now on day 5 and the pain is still there. I've been to the local hospital for tests (bloods, CT scan and ultrasound) and they think it could be a ruptured cyst. Another doctor mentioned it could be endometriosis. I've had endometriosis for 13 years and not once have I suffered with such a sudden onset attack so I don't believe it's that.

I'm going back to hospital tomorrow for follow up bloods as my CRP markers (inflammation) have increased from 12 to 20.

Has anyone experienced anything similar? I'm feeling so drained and exhausted from the pain and very emotional.

Thanks

I've had 4 ovarian cysts rupture at different times. How I feel at the time is overwhelming pain, dizziness, just completely immobilising
The tenderness and drained has always been there for a week or so afterwards. Have you developed any fever or signs of infection? It's good their checking your bloods as they will pick up any infection markers

I had a ruptured cyst and the pain was sudden and intense, I couldn't stand up.
I was kept in hospital for a couple of days after they scanned as they were worried about the amount of pain and blood loss. I didn't receive any treatment apart from monitoring and pain relief.
I was fine afterwards but it took some time to get back on my feet. I was exhausted and emotional.

Thanks ladies. That's reassuring to hear. I'm not feverish, I have waves of nausea and generally feel rubbish. I've never seen myself look so pale! Hopefully it'll be gone soon and I'll be back to normal.
