Acne after having a baby

New2TheMNet · 02/03/2023 21:05

I've been lucky to have not suffered with acne as a teenager, but since having my DD who is soon to turn one I've had it for the last few months. I keep getting small white head spots or small pimples under the skin on my cheeks and nose.

Did anyone else have this? I stopped breastfeeding at 10months so I'm not sure if that has something to do with it?

Welcoming any advice.
Thanks x

Yes it happened to me after I stopped breastfeeding, really sore, huge spots on my jawline and lower cheeks.

It's finally stating to settle down, it lasted around a month unfortunately but I'm glad there appears to be light at the end of the tunnel.

It must be the hormones readjusting?

Sorry that wasn't really advice was it? Grin

tea Tree oil .

Mine settled a few months after breastfeeding came to an end too. I think it was just the hormones settling down, I second the poster who mentioned tea tree oil for breakouts and a really light oil-free moisturiser if needed for day.

Not at all, thank you for your message as I was wondering if it was that but none of my nct friends seem to have it

UPDATE.
I'm just putting this here in case anyone else is searching for some advice.

After suffering with postpartum acne for months, this Tree Tree moisturiser has really helped.

I'm happy to say that my face and skin is all clear again. 🙂
