Smear Test Results

Does anyone know how long smear test results are taking at the moment? It says online between 2 and 6 weeks but just wondering what other people's recent experience is? My friend had hers back in just over a week but I'm at week 3.
I had HPV last year and am really anxious waiting to see if I've cleared it.

Mine took two weeks and it had changes so was seen within 3 days to have a colcoscopy, which is a closer look. They did a biopsy and I had treatment done.

It took 13 weeks for me to get the results back. I had hpv and changes so I was booked in for a colpscopy within days. Im pregnant so unable to get treatment just have to keep going back.

I have had 2 colposcopy's due to cell changes and am currently waiting for results. This is week 5 😩

I had a smear today, they said 4-6 weeks for results.

I’m in NI. Was told 6months when I had mine 3 weeks ago!

I’m at 5 weeks but have seen that locally some have had theirs back in 1-2. I’m awaiting colposcopy anyway because of symptoms but this wait is agonising! I called my GP surgery to see if they had the results and they said they get them in writing at the same time as patients so basically just have to wait it out

If the results were abnormal I’d be ok with it and would deal with whatever has to happen, I just don’t like waiting. I can manage with what I know, I hate the unknown!

Yes, the waiting is the hardest part. Good luck! I am waiting to make sure they got it all from the Lletz.

I’ve now got my colposcopy and hysteroscopy appt for this coming Monday, so I suppose that supersedes the smear results and if I don’t have them by then I’ll have a more definitive answer next week hopefully!
