Hysterectomy possibility, really worried about these two things

Hope someone can reassure me as its at least a month before I see a gynae. She mentioned it's likely I'll need a hysterectomy as my uterine polyps keep returning and hrt is causing heavy bleeding. She said it'll be lap surgery leaving ovaries intact.
Trouble is I've had a terrible history of intersticial cystitis, cannot be catheterised. Was anyone not catheterised?
Also, my cystocele is grade 2, rectocele grade 1 /2 but causing huge problems. Will these get worse?

Thank you for any advice

I think there is a chance your prolapses will get worse, unfortunately. I have some issues and was considering having an hysterectomy but I work with OBGYNs and they said that removing any of the connective “scaffolding” (so to speak) could make my rectocele worse.

I’m not sure if having laparoscopic surgery and keeping your ovaries would help with that though, as I didn’t discuss my own case with them further. Could you have the polyps removed without a hysterectomy? Would an ablation help? What about a rectocele repair? I had this but it hasn’t totally fixed the problem for me.

WolfFoxHare thank you. I've got an examination on my bowel rectum situation this week.
Yes previously no one has wanted to touch me because I'm so complicated. Had two hysteroscopy so far to remove polyps but I think fibroids are reeking havoc too. Wish it'd all just go away!
