Late Miscarriage / complications

Hi All!

I had a late miscarriage at 20 weeks, and delivered naturally. Scan suggests there are no retained pregnancy tissues and pregnancy test is negative.

I am now 6 weeks on and have had what I thought was my period a week ago. Now I have really heavy and wet pink/brown discharge. The doctor said there is still blood and clots in the uterus and the uterus lining is 33mm, but I'm not bleeding. Just really bad period type cramps and this very heavy discharge.

Has anyone experienced this and how long did it last?

Hi @UmNuhi just wanted to get in touch to send love. I lost my first at 23 weeks many years ago. It’s such a thing to go through.

I don’t remember what my blood loss after was like, but I remember the doc saying that your body will go through all the things it would after a full term birth. I’ve had discharge on and off for some weeks after birth with my other children, and what I thought was a very early period followed by a big gap with one of them. Much love to you, take care of yourself 💜

Thanks for your message @LulaK comforting to know I'm not alone and the discharge is part of the process. This was my first pregnancy so o have nothing to compare it to. xxx
