Heavy period after pregnancy

I'm 10 months postpartum. I have had 4 periods when have been 8 days bleeding and 8 days off. I started bleeding again last night and it's the heaviest I've ever know. Bled through a nighttime pad in 2 hours.

After my first 2 pregnancies my periods were back to normal at 10 months on a regular 28 day cycle.

I'm not on any contraception but I have stopped breastfeeding when I continued with the others past this point. Could that be the cause?

Not sure. I ofrne got heavy periods after a hormonal change link stress or illness. I would say it is probably just your body settling into your nro.al menstrual rhythm. Give it a couple of months, and it should settle

I had this after giving birth to my DTs, it’s like my periods returned to how they were when I was a teenager! I also missed one, had random periods close together, and had crippling period pains. Things settled down eventually and I’m back to my normal cycle and flow.

The drs did do some tests but everything came back ‘normal’ despite it very much not being normal for me!
