...the symptoms you were having it for suddenly stopped?

I have probably jinxed things now, but after having extremely heavy periods for the past few years I have been put on the waiting list for the op.
Now, due to having Zoladex injections for over a year which caused menopausal symptoms, I have been on the daily gel, twice weekly pessary and day 15-28 oral pills which have helped. I am still having 3 monthly Depo Provera injection too. I haven't had a bleed or period since around 7th Jan.

I have been on the waiting list for about a year now, and could wait another year or two (I am 51). Assuming I don't have any issues until that appointment comes up, would you decide to not have it? I don't know if all the medication is causing me not to bleed, despite my issues being due to fibroids and polyps, or if I have now actually gone past peri menopause. How would I find out? I feel quite stupid about not knowing about this.

There isn’t a reliable way to tell if you’ve gone through menopause apart from your periods stopping. The zoladex is supposed to stop them but I was told you can only take it for a year max. I guess discuss with the consultant? I suppose it depends why you were having it in the first place. If it was me, and it was fibroids, I think I’d want them out anyway. Mine were causing other issues as well like pressing on my bladder etc.

Thank you for your reply @LulaK The Zoladex was in preparation for an ablation, which I decided against after having more time between the booking and the actual appointment (about a year) to read about it.
I think a chat with my GP is probably the best idea. I need to get some more of my hrt but not sure if on the right dose etc so need to see what she says about that.
