Cramping not on period

I’ve been on the mini pill for the past few weeks on and off, started taking it again recently. However I’ve been having an increased white /clear discharge and horrendous cramping as if my period is on but I’m not on. Back ache. Tested negative for chlamydia. I can’t be ovulating as this has been going on for about a week now and the mini pill stops you from ovulating, Im also taking an anti depressant but I don’t think that’s related to my cramps. I’ve always had really heavy painful periods with clots but since taking the pill I haven’t had a full period (apart from withdrawal bleed, it was light and painless) and occasional spotting. Im 24, endometriosis does run in my family but I’ve never been diagnosed or tested for it

I've been on the mini pill 3 months and I always have cramps in some form, mild to really horrible. Driving me mad, so fed up.

I went through a very similar situation, I would really get yourself tested for endometriosis as it takes a while for it to get diagnosed. For the period cramping, I used period harmony patches that have really helped- so I would check those out :)

Endometriosis is usually diagnosed through a keyhole surgery op called a laparoscopy. Other tests like blood tests and internal ultrasound scans do not readily detect endo if it is there because the deposits are so very small.

If finances allow I would pay to see a gynae as a private patient for an initial consultation. Endo cannot be ruled out here given your symptoms of really heavy and painful periods with clots. In the meantime I would keep a daily pain and symptom diary as this will also give the gynaecologist clues. You will need to be persistent in order to get answers.
