I am having keyhole surgery on Monday to have my tubes clipped and mirena coil removed (causes me heavy periods and mood swings). I am feeling a little nervous, has anyone experienced this procedure?

I had it done 23 years ago when I was 27. Best decision ever.

I've had my tubes tired but it was during a c section so I didn't have the 'procedure'. However I can say that there was definitely no issues afterward & I wouldn't have even known it was done. Has been life changing to not need to use hormonal contraception for much the same reason.
My understanding from a friend who had the incision through her belly button is that she was sore for a few days / couple of weeks but managed with pain killers and no further issues.
Hope it all goes well.

Thankyou for the reassurances. Sadly they have now postponed the surgery because I have come down with a cold and they said it was too risky to give me general anaesthetic. So annoying, but just one of them things I suppose
