Breast clinic referral / perimenopause

Same story as a lot of posters I think but found a 1.5cm hard lump in breast and after seeing the GP have had a 2 week referral.

I'm early 40s and I think perimenopausal although GP has previously said he will only treat specific symptoms as I'm too young for anything else. Have also got endometriosis and migraines so a little complicated (in my mind at least). Been waiting for a gynae referral since last summer which has come through this week finally, at Breast discussion Nurse told me it is a 47 week wait for gynae referrals.

Anyway, i had never read before today about how common breast cysts are and if I'm reading posts right, possibly related to perimenopause.

I wish we learnt more useful body things at school.

Also trying not to think about what comes next but also keep jumping as having to leave my phone on ring which I hate as it plays videos when I open the news really loudly!

just wanted to send a hug. I’ve had three breast clinic referrals and each time the worry isn’t any easier. Mine have all been benign and 90% of lumps are. It is likely to probably be a cyst or something but it is great you are getting it checked.

Im 40 in May and my GP won’t do much for my peri symptoms as my bloods are fine and periods regular but all the other stuff comes out in full force
