Can anyone recommend a gynaecologist who can help with "jabby" pelvic pain in my 13 year old dd. Maybe be hormonal/ structural or musculoskeletal. Getting nowhere with NHS and too many missed weeks of school. Will travel. Thanks.

I've had to see many over the years. Could I ask you rough region of the country, and I'll let you have some recommendations?

Thank you. We're in Scotland but the private hospitals near us don't see under 16s 🙄. Happy to travel.

Mr Ashwini Trehan consults privately in the following hospitals, I believe now retired from NHS:

Nuffield Health, Leeds
Spire Clinic, Dewsbury
Spire Hospital, Elland

Dr Edmond Edi-Osagie is a consultant gynaecologist and head of Reproductive Medicine and Surgery Services at Central Manchester University Hospitals. He can be seen privately at:

The Alexandra Hospital, Cheadle
Pall Mall Medical Centre, Manchester

Stephen Kennedy is a professor of reproductive medicine at the University of Oxford, where he is also head of the Nuffield Department of Women's and Reproductive Health and co-director of the Oxford Maternal and Perinatal Health Institute. I am sure he does private practice, but am not sure where. His NHS practice is based at John Radcliffe, Oxford, and I'm sure his NHS secretary could help.

And finally, James Hopkisson is a consultant gynaecologist for Nottingham University Hospitals. His private practice is at:

The Park, Nottingham

All of the above are excellent, decades of experience each, and the best in their field. I have suffered multiple severe gynae issues requiring many surgeries, and have probably seen upwards of 60 consultants during my medical treatment. These are the only 4 gynaecologists I would actually trust to be thorough, know what they are doing, and admit if they could not help and refer to someone more appropriate.

If I can help any further, please feel free to send a PM. wishing your daughter the best of luck. 💐

You need a Paediatric gynaecologist. If you Google this term you will find your nearest option.

We used Sarah Creighton when my DD was a similar age but she is London based so probably too far for you to travel!

Thank you both. Very grateful for these recommendations.

Onlyopenmouth...you must've been through it. Hope things are good now for you.

I highly recommend Shirin Irani. It says she covers adolescent and paediatric gynaecology.
I was in my late teens when I first saw her and she is very kind. She's in the midlands so quite far but worth the journey imo.

Sadly not, but that's not their fault. Each of those surgeons have helped me immeasurably, but sadly I ended up being crippled by one who thought he knew what he was doing, and didn't.

I'm bed bound now, likely to stay that way. Which is why I like to help out others if I can.

Oh that's awful. I'm sorry to hear that. I really appreciate your help.
