I have a rash that's come up and looks almost purple? I thought it could be heat rash but it looks a bit weird, it's on both sides in the exact same location pics attached, Is this heat rash or something else? I have bad anxiety and I'm worried what this is

Looks a bit like chub-rub to me. Doesn't look like anything to worry about. Loads of mild skin things just come and go, it's a function of how skin is our protective layer OP.
Does it itch or hurt at all? Have you put anything on it? Quick swipe of Sudocreme would be my choice initially.

If it's both thighs at the same spot I'd guess that either they'd rubbed together or had been 'damaged' at the same time.
Have you been walking with bare thighs?
Cycling, climbing etc?

It looks more bruise-like or friction-based than heat rash.

It hurts when I walk like when it rubs together but just on its own it doesn't hurt or itch

That's why I'm confused because I've been working from home for the past week haven't really been doing anything other than sitting down, maybe sweat? Idk :/

It's friction, nothing to worry about. Put some sudocrem on it.

BusterGonad · 17/02/2023 09:21

And wear soft leggings etc to stop them rubbing until its cleared up.

I'm just worried because I've been working from home I haven't really been doing anything to cause a heat rash or chub rub:/

Maybe you didn't dry your skin properly and it got a bit humid? Or you shaved and make your skin sensitive and it's gone a bit red and sore? Or you wore some new clothes with a rough seam?

SauteedOwl · 17/02/2023 10:33

Have you used a hot water bottle in that area?

Either way, it'll be nothing to worry about

It could be that, I've been sitting down in one place for long periods of time wearing my night dress lol so maybe it's that

Yes. I'm pretty sure that'll be it. Try not to worry. 😊
