Severe anemia and Phosphate deficiency

Anyone had this?

My iron levels are so low that I'm borderline for needing a blood transfusion and my phosphate levels are half what they should be.

I'm just trying to work out why. I know I need to adjust my diet, but are there any medical reasons that this would occur?

Thank you.

If you have not been diagnosed with hyperparathyroidsim or Cushing's Syndrome, you need to do more than 'adjust your diet'

I know, I'm very worried about it.

I have a GP appointment in 2 weeks to go through the results. I honestly have no idea what is wrong with me or how to fix it.
