Hi all, doubt anyone's awake at this time but i work nights so here i am!

Anywho i have a large lump near my vaginal opening on the right, initially it was just a small one however i did try to pop it, and unlucky for me it popped but internally. Now im worried that its turned into a Bartholin Abscess? Its in the right place for it, and as the hours tick by the pain becomes more and more excruciating.

I do have a diagnosis of hidradenitis suppurativa, which basically means im prone to cysts and abscesses, however ive had them there previously and nothing really worked until they popped. I really am sick of going through the pain of these type of cysts.

Im just wondering what some of your experiences might be with this kind of thing and if there's anything extra i should be doing. Im already doing compresses (at work) and trying to sit in the bath, but neither have helped. Its becoming impossible to sit comfortably without feeling like someone's stabbed me in the foof.

You need antibiotics asap. It won't improve without them. Can you email a phto to your gp? (that's what our gp requests - incase that sounds like a random idea.)

Im going to call them first thing, they unfortunately dont do the whole email thing. I think if they cant see me as an emergency today im gonna pop over to the walk in center and explain it there. Ive had numerous courses of antibiotics in the past though and they've never worked with my HS, of course willing to give them a try but really could do without being in this much pain for work again tonight.

If antibiotic don't work, have you tried magnesium sulphate paste? it draws out everything from boils to splinters. It's available in most chemists but you have to ask for it and half the time they have never heard of it but they do sell it.
