I am in the system with gynaecology following a post meno bleed. I have had two scans - internal and external and they show "sinister" thickening of the womb lining and a cyst on my ovary. I had a hysteroscopy last week and he said that I had polyp that was filling the uterus and extending into the cervix. He struggled to get a sample for a biopsy and I am having a second hysteroscopy in theater in two weeks time.
I had my preop appointment today. When I had the last hysteroscopy I had a CA125 blood test and have been told I need to have it repeated it at the end of the month. Would that suggest that the level was raised and they want to check it again after the polypectomy?
