Hi I've been on the POP pill for 2.5years i was on cerazette for ages then I got given the desomono. Could this have caused me to bleed I never bleed on the pill I've now switch back to cerazette hopefully it's just that which as caused it.

Different brands effect me differently. I bleed non stop on cerazette but now I’m on noriday and I’m fine.

I got the worst side effects on cerazette

Cerezette works well for me. Cerelle on the other hand was awful.

Strictly speaking desomono should be the same as cerazette as its the same active hormone (desogestrel). I have heard of differences in side effects though so must be the filler ingredients that cause them. Cerelle is also a desogestrel pill.

Cerazette is the more expensive version which is probably why some women get prescribed the cheaper option.
