My cervix has moved and not just during my cycle

I mean it's been like it for the last few months. When i Google it just says that yes it moves during your cycle which I know but this is different.

I've also never been diagnosed with a tilted uterus which is the only other thing Google is finding.

It's definitely moved down from where it used to be!

Anyone had similar?

Can you see anything down there at the entrance to your vagina?

Clymene · 30/01/2023 10:51

How do you know?

Clymene · 30/01/2023 10:52

I mean are you saying you think you have a prolapse? You need to make an appointment with your GP

lifeinthehills · 30/01/2023 10:55

Is it just a bit lower or way low? Either could be a prolapse.

springbabydays · 30/01/2023 12:37

OK so I can now feel it (with a finger) all the time whereas before it was only at one point in the month. Its kind of at the back now rather than at the top, if that makes sense?

There definitely isn't anything visible, and I am not otherwise aware of it. But it's potentially something to think about yes? Should i be seeing a physio maybe?

I suppose the question really is could this be the start of a prolapse? 🙁

If it is, you may never get more than it is now. It sounds like you should check with your doctor, even if just to put your mind at rest.

Does anyone else have no idea where their cervix is within their vagina???

springbabydays · 30/01/2023 23:10

Thanks @lifeinthehills I think I'll need to make an appointment.

@Soontobe60 since using a cup I've become a lot more familiar with my body!

This happened to me but I assumed it was because I started a new contraceptive pill. Anything like that for you?

I am aware of where my cervix is too, also a cup/disc user.

springbabydays · 30/01/2023 23:21

No, i haven't used contraceptive pill for many many years. Thank you though.

I don't know how old you are. I thought I was developing a prolapse. I'm at the stage of life where my estrogen is dropping. My doctor gave me some estrogen cream and everything feels fine again.

springbabydays · 31/01/2023 00:19

That's a great point thank you. I'm getting to that age now I think. So hormones probably are changing a bit.
