Vitamin tablets that I can swallow easily?

I'm 49 and not feeling my best so think it's a good idea to take some vitamins but I'm a massive baby and find swelling tablets really unpleasant, it makes me retch and I really struggle.

Can anyone recommend any that aren't the size of horse tranquillisers?

You can get them in powder form - you add to water

You can get gummy ones in lots of places, I know Boots and Tesco have them. They're just like haribo so chew away!

As PP said - gummy ones are fab! MyProtein do a good multivitamin that is gummy and tastes good.

We have the fruit gums. My autistic child can’t swallow tablets either. The gums are great :)

Tesco multivitamins are fairly small and the whole range has a picture of the tablet size on the bottle so you can check it's manageable for you.

Gummy ones, but they are quite expensive compared to the tablets.

Could you get a pill cutter and just cut regular ones in half/quarters?

CallipyJean · 27/01/2023 10:29

Can you drink fizzy ones? There’s a huge range of flavours now, and you get the benefit of having a big drink of water too!

TheFlis12345 · 27/01/2023 10:48

Like @KateBalesCardi I have the Tesco ones and they are really small and easy to swallow.

Snoopsnoggysnog · 27/01/2023 10:56

Yeah I can’t swallow them either OP, some of the adult multi vitamins are absolutely massive!
I bought gummies yesterday on the Boots 3 for 2. Go to a big Boots and you should find what you need.
I have low Vitamin D so have been taking high dosage gummies for that. I couldn’t find those in Boots so I got a Vit D spray instead. Have you tried sprays?

powders wouldn’t work for me as I don’t want to drink a big drink like that.

We get a fizzy multivitamin from sainsburys that dissolves in water.

Trisolaris · 27/01/2023 11:05

I take the Alive! Multivitamins which are chewy and delicious.

Thank you, glad I'm not the only wuss!
