I've tried the mini pill bled constantly, currently on the combined pill back -back I've made it to 7 weeks with no pain no ovulation but I'm spotting and got cramps 😩 yayy. doctor told me to take a break for 4 days then go back on. I've had awful painful periods for years, its excruciating . just want them to go. I'm not keen on the coil , has the injection stopped them for anyone who didn't get on with the mini pill?

I know you said you're not keen on the coil but it cured my never-ending periods. I haven't had a period in 10 years (Mirena). I appreciate it's not for everyone though.

Same. I got the Mirena when I was 46 due to horrible perimenopausal periods and never had another one.

I went on the Depo injection for 7 years and it stopped my periods for 10 years, to the point I got severe osteoporosis in my mid 20s , so maybe don't stay on it that long. 🙄

I'm looking into Prostap to bring on chemical menopause as nothing else has worked.

Yep, had my first Mirena pre DC and don't think I've had a period since. Thank fuck. They were hideous.

On my 4th Mirena coil, I can't actually remember what a period is really like ( not had one for 17 years) Insertion isn't pleasant and can be very painful for some women, but the benefits for me are massive. A good proportion of my friends have one including 3 doctors.

The reason I don't want mirena is I had CIN 3 about 4 months ago so had my cervix burnt. I had excruciating period after that I've got to go back for a smear again shortly to check . I just can't bare the thought of HCPs fiddling up there anymore than I have too 🤣🤣🤣. I was wondering if sanya press/depo would stop it so I can have a rest. I may get the mirena once things have settled down and I don't need the checks.
