Disposable Period Pants

Hi. I'm looking for some disposable period pants. My periods are heavy and I leak at night. I've tried period pants but it seems to be only the gusset that absorbs the blood. I need more absorbency coverage if that makes sense. I've seen some always zzz pants in boots but are only available in size 6 which is upto uk size 16 but I'm a size 18. Would incontinence pants do the same job? 🙈

I use modibodi the heaviest ones and I think they're great. Expensive but have lasted me months and expect they will continue to so they are an investment.

Er, we call a disposable external absorbing thing... a pad? The whole point of period pants is to have something reusable. But you should be able to find period pants with more all-round absorbency. All you would be likely to get for disposable is the awful mesh ones for immediately after birth.

Always brand have nighttime pull up pants that are specifically for periods and work great, 5 pads worth of absorbency. I use them for my heaviest days/nights. Only problem is the biggest size they do is size 16..im a 18/20 so have to tear the legs a bit to fit. But they still do so not all bad.

I assume you have tried wearing the period pants and a reusable or disposable pad?
It sounds awful, please take care of yourself and get medical advice about your periods.

Have you been checked for anemia? It’s a simple blood test. If you are anemic it’s a viscous circular for blood loss

I wear a cup and period pants at night. I have cheeky wipes ones and wuka ones, with both the absorbant part goes right to the back of the pants but I think the wuka ones are slightly better. 00

I find the WUKA and modibodi 24hr heaviest absorbency ones ideal for overnight, if you’re willing to give them a go before going back to disposable?

Modibodi now have an incontinence range with booster pads, very absorbent. I would try a pair as disposable incontinence pants are very expensive, without considering the environmental impact.

Agre that I'm not sure disposable is the answer. at night on day 1 and 2 I wear Modi Bodi shorts in their max absorbency and they work well. I have been toying with buying a pair or two to wear during the day on my heaviest days too for the same reason - even the hardcore normal ones can't always cope with the flooding - it happens too fast and the blood then leaks out the side of the gusset.

Some of the post on here are ridiculous. None of the reusable period pants on the market deal with properly heavy flooding type bleeds. I should know I've tried the lot!

Op in terms of disposable pants I used to buy them from Amazon and they were a lot cheaper. Technically they were incontinence pads. I used to line the sides with a regular night time san pad to (so one on each side) to prevent it leaking round the edges. But I had terrible heavy flooding. It was the only way I could remotely manage the bad days.

I've linked that one as it clearly shows it compared to the side panels. I have used these in a different design but high waisted as I have a c section scar and they are really good.

Aldi do a good disposable incontinence pants in large size that copes with extremely heavy periods.

@justgettingthroughtheday agree. People who don’t have the awful flooding just don’t get it.

@fizzyfood I used Always incontinence stuff, pants have elasticated legs so pretty bomb proof. I bought their biggest incontinence pads too to put inside, which meant sometimes you can just change the pad not the whole lot if you’re quick enough. And do get an iron test, I got very anaemic without realising. X
