UTI....agony

I have a UTI and I'm in quite a lot of pain and discomfort.

Does anyone know how I can get treatment/what I can do, I can get in at my GP and can't go to a walk in centre as I don't have time!

You can get a dip sample kit at pharmacies. I think they can also prescribe according to result. I will post a link. Hang on...

There's some pharmacies that can issue antibiotics. You just need to take a urine sample down with you so they can dip test it.

You can get powdered drinks from the chemist/some supermarkets, things like cystopurin, but if you need antibiotics then you’ll need the walk in or 111. Bicarbonate of soda dissolved in water can help the symptoms too.

Phone your GP to discuss your options - ours will tell you to come in, pee in a pot in the loo there, a nurse will dip test it after you leave and send a Rx to the pharmacy if you need it. No appointments needed.
