persistent lower left quadrant pain - any ideas?

Hi all,

I'm at a bit of a loss, for around 3 months I've had pain right where my left ovary is, I was put on the 2 week cancer pathway thing so I've had blood tests and a full ultrasound and they've found nothing, not even a vitamin deficiency. The pain is getting worse though, it's burning today and it hurts so much I'm struggling to work at the moment. I have to wait 3 weeks to talk to the doctor. I'm wondering if it's a bowel problem as I have IBS but I have had a colonoscopy about 4 years ago and it was all clear.

Any ideas?

I had an instance of that recently and thought it sounded like diverticulitis. Just worth reading up on in case.

Thanks for replying. I have looked into that but cases last 2 or 3 days apparently (unless I'm not reading properly) and this has been 3 months now. I will mention it to the gp though.

I get it. I have for years. Had blood tests, sigmoidoscopy, upper and lower ultrasound. Nothing. It moves around a bit too. Sometimes painful near groin, other times higher up. It’s a mystery.

I'm sorry to hear that, it's so frustrating when something is clearly wrong but everything is coming back fine!
