Sterilisation under 30

Hi,
I have finally got an appointment to speak to the gp about getting sterilised. I have wanted this since I had my daughter 3 years ago. I am 28 and when I had my last contraceptive appointment with the nurse she straight up said don’t bother you’re too young.
Has anyone successfully managed to get their gp to agree to this procedure and if so what did you do to convince them? I’m prepared to go through every gp in my surgery if I have too. It’s something I desperately want.
thanks

There will be mental health concerns at your age. So keep pushing , see another GP, accept any counselling they ask you to have.

I was sterilised at 28, however I had 4 children, 2 high risk pregnancies, 2 very dangerous labours plus 2 miscarriages and the procedure was done during a c-section
The consultant practically bit my hand off when I suggested it but I was told that generally they wouldn’t even consider it below 30
