Anyone had private surgery for uterine prolapse and rectocele ? In Uk wondering how it went and how much did it cost and do you regret it? I can’t keep waiting for nhs this is ruining my life. Also what was your whole process like? I’m only 27

Yes had done twice. No idea what it cost as insurers paid. Definitely worth it 1000%. Recovery was fine but had help as unable to lift anything for 7 weeks.

Hi
I came on here tonight to ask this very question! I realised I have a rectocele after googling the issue in November. I’ve been to my GP and got referred to physio, but I am really struggling to do pelvic floor exercises, front ones are ok, but I don’t seem to be able to squeeze and hold my back passage muscle at all.

I’m really fed up as the rectocele is only getting worse, it’s been going on mildly for over two years. It was empty this morning and just like a thin fleshy lump, but this evening it’s full of hard stools again and bulging into my vagina. I really doubt any amount of pelvic floor exercise is going to cure it.

😩
