Vulvodynia

I had laser removal of pre cancerous cells around 6 years ago on my vulva and since then, I've had so many issues with my vulva and it's driving me insane.

My symptoms are so strange. I have what I can only describe as nerve pain and this can be anywhere, nowhere or everywhere which doesn't make sense, I know. I can have it for months and wake up one day, and it be gone for another few months. It can be on my labia majora, pubic bone or perineum. It doesn't hurt to touch at all, hasn't looked irritated or any smells, discharge etc until the last few weeks.

My vestibule (the bit inside your labia minora where the clitoris and urethra is) is red and feels raw to touch. It's not thrush as there's no itch or discharge, although I have put canesten on just in case but it hasn't helped.

I see a gynecologist every 6 months and he said to just stop eating root vegetables!

Has anyone else remotely had any like this. I feel like a medical mystery!
